Award and Recognition Program

The TACCHO Award and Recognition Program honors the outstanding work of Local Health Departments, their leadership, staff, and the valued supporters of public health within the state of Texas. 

All TACCHO members are eligible to submit nominations for the awards.

Awards: 

• LHD of the Year
• Education through Innovation
• Public Health LEADer Award – TACCHO Member
• Diamond Award – Lifetime Achievement / Meritorious Service
• Rising Star – new
• Public Health Champion – someone outside of LHDs – new
