Whitney S. Craig, DrPH, MPH, CPM® earned her Doctor of Public Health and Master of Public Health from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Thiel College. A Texas Certified Public Manager® and Leadership Fellow of the Texas Municipal League Leadership Academy, Dr. Craig is an active member of the American Public Health Association, National Environmental Health Association, and Texas Association of City and County Health Officials.

She has worked with the City of Midland since 2018 and in her current role she oversees programs in communicable disease prevention, emergency preparedness, environmental health, sexual health, chronic disease, and health education. Her work emphasizes innovative strategies, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable improvements to public health systems.

Dr. Craig contributes her expertise on advisory boards for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Midland College. Dedicated to mentoring and community engagement, she is an adjunct professor of Health Services Management at Midland College and works with youth organizations and local coalitions to strengthen community well-being and expand opportunities for the next generation of public health leaders.
