• Provides quality dental services (diagnostic, preventive, restorative and surgical) to patients with skill, care and good judgement.
• Participates in appointment scheduling and patient referral
• Documents patient treatment and related correspondence in electronic dental chart
• Establish a treatment plan of care for patients of record
• Communicates dental treatment information to patients, parents and clinical staff
• Provides direct supervision to dental hygienists and dental assistants in accordance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners rules and regulations
• Oversees auxiliary dental staff in preventive maintenance tasks; infection control and sterilization procedures
• Ensures adequate clinical supply levels are maintained in accordance with clinical needs; provides oversight of monthly supply ordering providing final approval before submission to clinical coordinator• Ensures timely completion and accuracy of monthly service data reports; performs chart audits to ensure accuracy of Dentrix ledger
• Other duties as assigned, including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.
